Just applied this stuff and wow, the water behavior is extremely hydrophobic! If the durability is as claimed, what a FANTASTIC bargain!! Pretty user friendly, too.

It is awesome stuff. A bit plasticy in the looks but it packs some superb protection!

Hey Jim! :dblthumb2: I honestly don't have the eye to tell big differences in appearance of LSP's, so as long as I'm getting good protection and water behavior, I'm good to go.

In Southern California (little to no rain, sunny, etc..) I got 10+ months on a car that is daily driven and kept outside during the day, in the sun. Garaged at night.

I had 2 coats, put on one week apart.

Yes, it's a brilliant product.

That's impressive.

And why it's hard for me to try other products! But, we must do what we must :)

Cleaning it was also easier. Sometimes, I'd just hit it with the power washer at a coin-op. Not even dry it. Just drive off. (sometimes!)

IMO it's the slickest sealant and easiest to remove. The only con in my opinion is smell. Be sure to use it in a well ventilated area

It is pretty slick! I've used some "liquid" sealants that were a tad bit easier to remove.

Good point about using it in well ventilated area!!

Hows it compare to the likes of power lock? PL has been my go to and it’s slick as all get out when done right.

I never had luck with it. It was always a bear to get off for me, always missed a spot somewhere and you could see it.

It seems that some batches are easier to get off than others. And you gotta apply thin or it gets brutal.

My big issue with it is the inconsistent durability. Sometimes I get three or four months with it, which for me is a long time compared to other stuff. Other times I get a few washes and it's done. I wish it was consistent like 845.

Keep it off plastic. Wipe it off quickly if it gets on it. Otherwise, excellent sealant.

Hey to all the FK people. Have you ever used Wolfgang Deep Gloss sealant? How do they compare? I'm in love with the Wolfgang, but of course I will need to try something new cuz I'm addicted.

WGDGPS looks nicer, FK1000P has a wierd plastic wrap look on certain colours.

Both Tins I have are equally easy to remove and I always get at least 6-8 months but like you mentioned I've seen numerous people complain about difficult removal. Out of pure laziness sometimes I'll apply it at night and wait to remove it the next day but it's always so incredibly easy to remove. There are a lot of people that seem to have had issues with FK1000p that clearly know how to apply sealants "whisper thin"so you might be right about your theory of inconsistent batches.

My FK1000P is hard as a rock, literally the hardest paste I've ever had. Curious how yours compares?

The tins of FK1000P I have owned have been hard as a rock also

Two things

I melt my fk1000p into deodorant tubes for easy application onto pads

What are you guys using for a drying Aid on a fk1000p protected car to not mask it's properties?
