Flex 3401 Circumcised Backing Plate

Nice job. Got any ideas on how to cut the pads from 6.5 to 5.5. After seeing this I started thinking about doing it to my compound and polishing pads. And just purchasing a backing plate, and keep the larger backing plate and pads for waxing or sealant.

Just buy 5.5" pads and sell the 6.5" ones you don't want. Or trade the 6.5 to someone for 5.5.

Hey, what's up?
You've got PM.
I'm in Niwot, CO. 30 miles NW of Denver. Boulder County...
I'd like to do this procedure if it's still possible.
Thx-Goose

Yup, we can do that. I'm just south of 104th, west of I-25.

I used to drive up your way when I worked at IBM.

when I get a pad that has frayed edges I just take a very sharp scissors, mount the pad on a 3.5"BP and cut the 5" or 6" pads to fit.......not perfectly round but still works
