Flex 3401 or Boss g15

Do you think the low pro pads will be fine for now? I have some buff and shine 6 inch pads that are thicker i could use for the time being

I think you can run the low pros on the flex, but like several have said the Flex is better with thicker pads. I would use the Buff n shines over the low pros and plan on picking up some Hybrids with your next order.

Sorry if i confused anyone the low pros are lake country

Yea, the ones from Lake Country are ThinPro - those are thin pads designed more for free spinning DAs.

The ones from Buff & Shine are Low-Pros - those are a little thicker and would be okay on a Flex 3401.

Ok see theres that learning curve lol i have thin pros and some buff and shine flat foam pads that are pretty thick so i will use them and save my thin pros for my meguiars buffer it still does a decent job i just wanted something better but nice to have a backup also.

With my recent orders i have received some lake country smart professional foam pads (1 orange and 3 black) variable contact. I researched them and it says they are made for a rotary but they fit my backing plate on the new flex 3401 so could i use them on it. The part# is 46-276vc if that helps.

I use both machines regularly. The Boss G15 uses carbon brushes that have to be replaced from time to time. Two are included in the box, but beyond that you have to purchase them as normal wear and tear items.

So the 3401 does not run on carbon brushes?
The Flex also uses carbon brushes. The Lake Country backing plate is liable to fail way before the brushes need to be replaced. The Flex brush part number is 331880 just in case anyone is needs it.
