Flex 3401 random orbital mode?

Hi all,

Apologies for the newbie question but does the Flex 3401 have a switch to go between forced rotation to random orbital mode?

no, it only has one mode and speed dial 1-6...

The Flex 3401 always rotates and it also has a variable speed trigger which allows you to go up to the maximum speed you have set.
It is not like the Porter-Cable which rotates if you have it in the "right" position. FYI I have both.

It does both all the time...as in forced rotation and random orbital but you cannot select one or the other.

It is forced rotation orbital but nothing random about it. It moves in the same direction every stroke.
