Flex 3401 VRG vs. Porter Cable 7424

If memory serves me correctly this was posted a month or two ago.

Actually, the way the PC style polishers operate and feel in your hands compared to the Flex 3401 and any Rotary buffer is all different and what might be the best tool for you might not be the best tool for someone else just because it has more or faster correction ability.

In a perfect world a person could try before they buy but the only place that happens is at Detail Fest where you can in fact test out all the different electric polishers and see which one you like best!

The first video is from two years ago,Plus if you look close the backing plate on the pc is way to big looks at least a six inch one.May be wrong.
As for the second video it's hard to compare both machines they both have there place in paint correction.The flex is a great machine nice and light weight.But tends to get very hot when used for extended amount of time.
The Makita is an all around great machine,Old school guys like the weight of the DeWalts and Makita's
 
I dont really feel it is a fair comparison. To add to Harleyguy's post, the PC in the video is the original not the newer models like the XP, Griots, and Megs G110v2 which are much closer to correction power of the flex.
 
Well, not sure how old the videos are, but I haven't been on this forum long enough to know it was a repost ........ oh well.

Just thought it might interest some.
