Hello,
I got recently Flex DA 3401 - I would appreciate if you advice which pads you are using?

1- Can I use Meg's MF cutting/finishing pad in some pervious threads they saying since it's forced rotation MF pads not recommended.
2- Is any one used Rupes pads with Flex 3401 and what do you think?

Thanks much

Do you have existing pads from another unit already? Just asking.
  • I'm using the remainder of my Hexlogic 6.5" pads until they need to get tossed out. They work fine.
  • I also invested in a full series of Lake Country Hybrid and Hybrid Force Pads. Both work excellent.
  • MF Wise, you can use them. They work great. The Following two vehicles were done with my Flex 3401 and MF Pads for cutting and Foam for polishing. The results were excellent and mainly just need the haze removed which was a snap with HDSpeed and some Green Pads. In my case they were Green Hexlogic Pads. Both vehicles were hammered.

I was with you guys on the hybrids right up until the second failure of the LC backinplate. I've since made the transition to the 4-3/8" flex backingplate and 5.5" force pads which are basically improved hybrid pads. Haven't looked back since.

I have only used the white Force pads so far on paint and like them a lot more than the old whites.

The grey Force came in handy for headlights. I didn't use the orange, black or red yet.

Too bad on the LC Backing plate. I bought the Flex 4-3/8 one right away and haven't been disappointed. I have only run it with my glass polishing pads and CarPro Gloss pads but it's been flawless.

I didn't care for the gray on paint. Microfiber for the fast-cut is what I've moved to. Like you, I'll have to redeploy my gray ones for lights and windows.

Great - thanks all
It looks like LC hybrid or hydro is the way to go.
