Flex Cordless polisher “Belt”

As soon as I saw these cordless Flex polishers the first thing I thought is, how amazing would it be to get up polishing an RV or private jet and not worry about a cord? What if there was a “belt” you could use so you have somewhere to set these tools?

Behold the “Belt” you wear a detailing belt for your regular supplies, and this is a separate “upper belt”. When you’re done using the polisher, it goes in a holder over your shoulder and out of the way. Maybe there’s even an area for spare batteries...


What do you guys think, should this be a thing?

What a sick idea! I don’t think it would be a huge market as most detailers put tools down to buff with a microfiber or prep the next area
But, for the applications you pointed out, it beats having to put it on a ladder holder or risk dropping it moving up and down.
Certainly a solid sketch and ide moving forward. I have always thought pad holders under the arms or beside your legs from hip to knee, would be awesome, grab and go while polishing.

I’d imagine you have the polishers over your shoulder and pull out the towel to buff, reach down to the detailers helper belt, pull out the scangrip, check work, then reach up and get the polisher again, especially if your on a jet with nowhere to set the polisher.

If you weren't married to putting the polisher over your shoulder, you may want to think about making a belt clip type of attachment. This could strap onto the polisher, and the hook (think wide flat hook like on messing tape) would just slide onto the belt. With the lighter weight of the new polishers, they probably wouldn't be any heavier than a cordless drill, and a lot of them already come with belt hooks.

That will work, assuming that the polisher holster is sized to fit the new polishers from Flex. The problem with this belt in general is the lack of shoulder straps, and how narrow the belt is, which limits how much weight can be carried without discomfort and/or embarrassment. if the polishers have the belt hooks, you can use any tool belt, even the heavy duty leather ones with shoulder straps. THis may or not be of importance, depending on how much stuff a detailer wants to put on the belt.

I would think the basics would be a polisher, 2-3 extra battery packs, a Scangrip or other such swirl finder light, some microfiber, extra pads, and compound or polish or both. Seems like a lot for a non shoulder strap belt to carry.

I saw those, Im not sure if they would accommodate the battery as its hanging off the side on the Flex, also, I haven't used that belt but does it swing around on your waist while you walk around?
