For a truly do-it-all machine one could not go wrong with the Flex 3401 VRG. It is the most versatile machine in the Flex product line. From compounding, to jeweling, to fine wax application the Flex 3401 can do it, and does it time and time again.
The forced rotation is a dream come true when doing heavy correction or when doing a 2 or 3 step process. No loss of rotation means no loss of cutting ability and that equates to time saved. The oscillating pattern makes the device worry free and very safe for your vehicle's paint, as well as giving you the ability to buff out to an LSP ready finish in a single stage using some of the newer compounds and polishes on the market. For the hobbyist on a budget, the Flex 3401 VRG is the one machine you should absolutely own. I simply love mine.
I know that sounds like a commercial, but every time I pull the flex out to correct my paint, I still get a little giddy using it. I have some of the 5" hybrid pads and the LC backing plate coming hopefully today (I've gotten the dreaded UPS "EXCEPTION" flag the last 3 AG packages). If they really are the bee's knees that everyone says they are, I can't wait to get after correcting my car after Christmas.
