Flex PE8 Question

I have been using 3 inch pads on my 6 inch GG for the smaller areas. Obviously this isn't ideal, so I am looking for a separate small polisher. I have it pretty much narrowed down to the PE8 but I know that it's a rotary vs orbital. I have never used a rotary and have never had the need for one.

How safe is this one compared to a normal sized rotary? I am more comfortable with the DA approach but was wondering if I could start at the lower RPM's and just play it safe. Any feedback? Thanks!

I just got one and I have a Rupes Mini too. Just my opinion but since you've never used a rotary as neither had I you may want to go the Mini route. Or be prepared to get a junkyard panel and practice :dblthumb2:
