Flex Presents Flex #1 to Max

The President of The US gets a Wheaties box with his picture on it along with an acrylic case to display it in. I think a couple of them were drawn by Norman Rockwell.

I think it is only fitting that our President "Max" should have this tribute to him displayed in the same fashion.

Now as for 00002 in Mike Philips' hands. I see a hard working productive life and lots of shiny cars.

Well deserved guys. Congrats :dblthumb2:

I love that.... AG should offer a wrap kit for the new Flex so we can all give our polishers a custom touch!

That looks awesome. Is it lighter than the regular production model?
Since it is #1, are they planning to make more of them?

That is the new model that will be out in 2011 as for the carbon fiber, no, Max will hold the only one every made in carbon fiber red.

It's good to be the boss!

It is good, and he deserves it, anyone that knows Max knows he is a stand up guy who really works hard to provide the best for all of us.

AHH, I was just about to ask if that was carbon fiber, and if they all were to be made out of it, and figured that would affect the price, and was wondering if that was why it was so light. I've seen carbon fiber in lots of colors, like silver, gold, red, blue, ect, and not just black, so I figured it might be. It must be that they tint the resin to make it certain colors.

Man, Max certainly is fortunate to get that, and I agree that it should go in a lexan case, preferably in an oval domed shaped one, with lighting around the inside of the case, like a ring of light.

I believe we would have to ask Mr.Mike Phillips for his #00002

You'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead fingers...

I was honored to receive the #2 production unit and it's already seen lots of use at the show, in fact I encouraged everyone that stopped by our booth to test it out and most people did.

It actually starts out at 400 RPM via the trigger and sets at 600 RPM with the trigger lock engaged for the low RPM

You can't get it to bog down when you put it under load and the body never became warm under use at the show, of course the real test will be a full size car.

Flex recommends a max size of a 7" buffing pad but says it will work an 8" pad also with no problems.

The fit and finish is excellent on this new lightweight rotary buffer and I'll stick to what I said in the video we made with Bob Eichelberg and that is it's the Mercedes-Benz of lightweight rotary buffers...

Mike, do you see this being a viable replacement for the 3403, or does the 3403 still have a niche that the new unit can't fill?

I'm aware that the new one is a little over a pound heavier, but is that difference really significant in practice?

I saw Max talking to the guy providing security for the Veyron over in the booth next to us, so maybe he plans on bringing him on staff to watch over the new office decoration for him. ;) j/k!
