Hi folks!

I am looking to purchased a FLEX XFE15 150 Cordless Orbital and need a second opinion from all. Also, if Mike Phillips is reading this, your thoughts on this matter would be great.

So USUALLY I am happy pairing the FLEX FINISHER with Lake CountryThinPro pads using FLEX 5” backing plate. But somewhere (and for the life of me I can’t seem to find) I thought I read in AGO that Mike stated to give Lake Country Hybrid pads a go on the FLEX FINISHER. I understand that these were designed for the FLEX 3401, correct?

Does anyone here have any experience with this combination I speak of? Either or both.

Another interest I have are Buff & Shine Uro-Tec Foam Pad System. How are those?

Also, I had used Sonax Perfect Finish before on another long throw and was very pleased with it.

So I am aiming to purchase that again with either Sonax CutMax or Jescar Correcting Compound. What do you think?

I am leaning more towards Sonax CutMax since I was pleased with Perfect Finish.

What about Sonax Cut & Finish for One-Steps?

Thanks!

I've had experience with both hybrid pads and Uro-tecs.

I started this thread stating my findings: https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/flex-polishers/109442-lc-hybrids-xfe.html?highlight=

The hybrids (IME) vibrated a tad more but also contoured nicely on the XFE.

URO-TECs are my current favorite pad across the board. I even use them on my rotary! I know B&S just released the "reflection artist" pad line at SEMA, which is a universal, all-tool solution to tackle any paint type with any tool! Needles to say, I really really like the URO-TEC pad line.

For a one-step, (obviously this will depend on paint color/type) I'd grad Sonax PF and a maroon B&S URO-TEC and go to town! Maroon B&S is one of the best one-step pads I've used! Sonax cut and finish isn't bad but I prefer Scholl Concepts S20 Black!

I can’t comment on the hybrid pads on the finisher. However I will say the uro tech pads are really nice on these machines.

Cut Max is an amazing compound and my favorite on the market. Jescar is very nice also but I still prefer Cut Max.

Cut and finish is also a great one step for most paints.
