Florida Keys

Hit the Tiki Bar they have great Rum Runners and Pain in the A$$ (yes thats the name) drinks. Here's a tip Once you get to Florida City (my ex home town) US1 is the only way in and out of the Keys. Well when you See "Last Chance" bar/saloon you will see a road off to the left. Thats Car Sound Road that road reconnects to US1 but you miss most of the traffic and you can speed (with in reason :D 120mph ;) ). Take Car Sound all the way to the end ($1 toll) make a right, that road will reconnect with US1 about 20min +/- later. Now don't know what you budget is but for a really "Key West" dinning I really like Sun Downers (sea food sundownerskeylargo.com) they have great food and great drinks (I like the Captain's Platter). Good luck and if a hot girl is checking you out look for an Adams Apple :D

That had me LMAO :applause: yeah pretty much tho, if you are looking for laid back and not really doing much then the Keys are good for just drinking and Charter fishing. But really there isn't much to do as far as land activities, most of the fun is on the water and renting stuff gets expensive quick. South Beach on the other hand has more to offer, walk down Ocean Drive stop by Wet Willies and buy a Large "Call the cab" drink with an extra shot of 151. Then walk across the street while not spilling your drink :cool: and walk the beach and stare(sp?) at the topless chicks sun bathing. At night the clubs come alive and so do the freaks Im the MAN.
 
We are flying into Miami, so maybe I can convince the group to hit South Beach for a night.
 
South Beach is always fun. It's has it's share of strange people but there's a lot more beautiful girls (that are real) then in Key West and a lot nicer beaches. To me going to the keys is all about getting out on the beautiful water. wytstang's right if have have to rent a boat or jet ski it is expensive. If all's your going to do is stay on land there are a lot better places in Florida to go.
 
No need to rent a boat or jet ski. I was just going to stop by your joint Gary or surfers and borrow one for the week. Don't worry, I will put a few bucks of gas in it when I am done.

Hmmmmmm, beautfiul girls. Short supply up here in Michigan. Well it sounds like maybe SB will be a destination for at least a night.
 
Lone_Star, It sounds like I might be down there the same time you are going. I'm going to bring jet skis down and do some diving. My brother is coming down from Michigan for a couple of weeks with his Jet Ski and scuba gear also. We're going to go down to the Keys for 3-4 days but will be staying away from Key West. From my house Key West is only about 120 miles by boat. It's a very nice ride in good weather and not much fun if the water's real choppy.
