That's right, I am the freakin' new guy. I have recently been active at another detailing site and since I purchase supplies from Autogeek I figured I may as well join here and see what I can learn. I have only just recently begun to play with paint correction and so far done one of my motorcycles, my daughters Neon, and my Suburban. I plan on doing my wifes 98 Regal and a 2005 Mustang as soon as the weather is better. I am just a hobbyist at detailing but have always taken great pride in a clean ride. Now that I have a family it is harder to keep the vehicles as clean as I would like. Sometimes it drives me a little crazy. I'll post some of my projects as I get time.

Instant gratification. I love working on junk like this too

Thanks all! Wow, Mike, that is a great 50/50. Is that single stage paint? My daughters 2001 Neon is black. Unfortunately the top panels of the car had been neglected by the previous owner and so there are white areas where the paint is cracked and faded beyond correction. I have heard that Dodge used waterbased paints and they are not very durable. The car does look a lot better than it did when it showed up at the house. I need to dig up those pics.

Just went to Dodge Neon Extreme Makeover with Dodo Juice and my question was answered. It is a single stage paint.

Actually, this site has a lot of info geared toward the beginner, so I am filling in a lot of gaps in my knowledge as I go.:iagree:
