I'm looking for a good foam cannon that will work for the AR383. I've read that a lot of foam cannons will not work out of the box with the AR383, so I'm looking to see what my options are with very minimal customization. I know I could always go with AR's own cannon, but I'd like to see if there are any higher quality options. Thanks.

Get the MTM foam cannon and the adapter. They list it on their site. It's what I use with the AR383 and it works great.

I use AR's with my 383 and it works good enough for me. I've nebef used any other one's, so don't have anything to compare it to. Just my .02

I wanted to pick that one up and be done with it, but I read a lot of reviews with the bottle head cracking and needed to have the entire bottle replaced. Might try it anyway since it's such a simple solution for the AR383.

I ordered the AR version this weekend, I'll need the 1/4" male plug from HD/Lowes for my 390SS' lance. But I figure it's jetted properly for a lower-volume electric than the regular MTM so it's worth getting.

I have both the AR390SS and the AR foam cannon on the way, as I ordered them together. Will I still need an adapter?

I think so, as the AR cannon comes with a nipple and a bayonet for the plastic lances on the 383 and lesser units. The 390SS' lance has a metal wand and standard 1/4" quick-release.

Mine cracked and they replaced it free of charge. Just take good care of it and it will be fine.

Yeah, that's the one, but it does NOT plug straight into the 390SS, which has a standard 1/4" quick-connect collar.

Shoot, so Lowes has the correct adapter?

I recently bought the AR foam cannon on Amazon which came with the adapter to fit right into my AR383. Questions for experienced users:

1) What ratio of soap to water do you use in the bottle? I use DG901. First try I used probably 1:2 product:water and the foam was too runny. Should I reverse that ratio and do 2:1 product:water?

2) What settings do you use on the 2 head adjustments? there is a black plastic dial on top and then the black rotating tip where the foam comes out with the 2 metal fins that open and close.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Hi. I have the Ryobi 3100 PSI 2.5 GPM and it works great. I've never worried about ratio. HOT water about 1/3 first. Fill hyperwash to 1/2 or a little more. Top it off with HOT water.

Open tol knob all the way and the nozzle just play with what you like. Wide or narrow. Makes it thick. Love it. Bottom line just add soal to your liking.
