Foam cannon help

Hi everyone! I recently purchased the foam cannon sold by AutoGeek and have been using CG Honeydew or Duragloss soap in it. I typically put 3-4 ounces of soap in the bottle, then fill the rest with hot water. I get good foam, but it doesn't seem to stick or cling like the videos online. Any ideas? Thanks!

I get the same with CG. Adam's car wash shampoo goes on thick!

Basically with CG it's more watered down but with Adam's it sticks better? Which Adam's do you use?

Nothing wrong with the foam you have on your car. Want more foam? Add more soap.
 
I think he has watched Ghostbusters 2 one too many times expecting it to thick thick haha jk.

Do you guys use the MTM Hydro? If so, are you able to turn it all the way to full fan spray without excess random overspray?

You'll see thicker foam if you use less water. I don't use my foam cannon too often anymore, but when I do I use two ounces of soap and between ten to fifteen ounces of water and it is more than enough to cover a full-size sedan or coupe.

The method is to apply a layer of soap onto the surface, let it dwell in order to soften surface dirt, and then to rinse off all of the product. The result is, hopefully, more surface dirt removed from the vehicle than would be removed from just rinsing it off with a hose or pressure washer.

Is a thicker layer of soap going to result in the removal of more dirt, and, because of the extra removal, is one going to be less likely to induce scratches against the vehicle's clear coat whilst contact washing? Mayhaps, but I wouldn't complicate it. The example you shared with your photo looks like more than enough soap to do whatever job can be done by pre-soaking.
