Foam gun, how much product v liquid?

I just put it on A (1oz/gallon).. no water needed and the directions do not state to add water
There's 2 ratios at play here. The foam gun output ratio and the suggested shampoo dilution ratio. That's the math and it's black and white. Some people like to work out the numbers in their heads. But then there's the intangible human factor. What works for one may not work for the other, or we may find both methods work for different people! So I don't disagree with you at all! :xyxthumbs:

You might need to adjust the valve, might just be realizing more water than soap. The foam gun that I use has a valve that let's me control the amount of soap I want. Also the type of soap you are using might not be to foamy.

I'll play around with it the last time I wash the car with the foam gun. Thanks dude!

you'll have to play around with the ratio/dilution. 3 ounces of soap and the rest water has worked well for me...

:iagree:

Your expectations for the foam GUN are too high. If you have a foam CANNON then it is possible to achieve this effect.

WHY?

Pressure or lack thereof.

If you want suds that stick to the whole car, get cannon and pressure washer.

I found this video on YouTube - this is the effect I get and want it to be more soapy - I mean it still does the job though..

I see what you mean. In the video it's a karcher foam lance on an electric pressure washer. It gets decent foam. When you see the vids online of people with super clingy foam it's a gas pressure washer with a big foam lance that has tons of soap in it. Have to have a pretty serious setup from what i've seen.

This result is pretty good though. Should be more than enough to get the car washed properly. I'd be happy with it. :)

Ahhh okay, I never knew it was a setup like you said - I thought it was pretty much the same as what I have but with different options and different products used.

Thanks for your reply man!
