for the gilmore gun. i was wondering if AG has just the red spray gun part? the hand nozzle that screws on to the water hose.

You might not need the designated gilmore part. I have a store bought metal nozzle with threads on the end. The middle junction adaptor that screws onto the red gilmore nozzle may work with any threaded hose nozzle. Bring that part to a garden center and see if it screws onto a stocked nozzle.

Good luck.....elliot

ohhhhhhhh. did not know that. i'll have to check it out......

If I recall, the instructions say to only use a Gilmore pistol grip with the foam gun. Something about reverse pressure tolerance.
That is, of course, coming from the manufacturer.

Correct. Just received mine today. Only use the supplied grip for reverse contamination prevention.

I'm getting a foam gun for Christmas. Can't wait to try it. Also ordered CG Honey Dew.

Do remember if you're looking at the Gilmour gun to search for "Butchers Foam Gun". It *IS THE SAME GUN*. Say's Gilmour on the parts. Had plenty of use from mine this year thus far.

Although... this last Black Friday BlackFire foam cannon on sale and @25% off was more than I could resist. ;) Did a preliminary test today with it running Megs D111 Shampoo Plus @ around 5:1 through a little electric 1700psi washer. Thicker than the Gilmour gun for sure (at a thinner dilution actually), but not as thick as I'd like to see it.

I have HoneyDew, DG901/902 I use regularly as well as some Megs Hyper Wash. Plus some Wolfgang, DP, and a bunch of other samples.

I'm going to try it with my 13HP Honda /General Pump 3600 @ 4 gpm unit as well. Although I'll have to SERIOUSLY dial down the pressure for that one.

Honestly I just don't want to have to break out the gas PW all the time and thought if I can get a decent foam coating that sticks well with the little electric unit that'd be perfect for winter washes. :dblthumb2:

Hey Pro4x,

Try to catch what these guys said regarding a different nozzle. You don't want to ruin anything.

Good luck....elliot

no problem. i found out you can order direct from gilmour. mine is still good. just some wear. i lubed up the slide etc.... big difference.
