Foam Gun Rocks !! (questions)

In the tank mix 3:1 water to Optimum Carwash (or any other you prefer), then set the slider to the 3rd hole from the left (4:1). This combo will give you 1 oz per gallon at the car.

I am not sure I understand your ratio. If in the tank you mix three parts water to one part Opt Carwash that would mean the mixture is 25% carwash or 32 ounces per gallon. If the foam gun is set 4:1, then I assume the foam is mixing four parts of water for each part of solution from the tank. Woudn't that come out to about 6.4 ounces (32 divided by 5) of wash to a gallon of water?

Please don't take this to mean I am arguing with you, just trying to understand the ratios.

The 4:1 on the foam gun means 4 ounces of solution per gallon from the hose(4oz:1gal). Effectively one ounce of shampoo per gallon because one of the 4 ounces of solution is shampoo (3oz:1oz). You're just misunderstanding the ratio measurements.

Ahhh. I assumed the 4:1 on the Gilmour meant 4 parts water to 1 part of whatever is in the tank.

I noticed that some foam guns (Cam Spray) need a pressure washer....What's the best foamer on the market that I can attach to the garden hose?

While I don't know if it is the best, Gilmours are really really good and are meant to be used with the garden hose, not a pressure washer.

Exactly what Bert said. And if I'm not mistaken, the Wolfgang and Pinnacle foam guns are actually from Gilmour, but with a Pinnacle or Wolfgang logo on the side.

I am pretty sure you are correct.
