foam guns and soaps

noob question but I will be ordering a foam gun to efficiently minimize the amount of water it takes to detail cars going forward. That being said, I have a lot of standard shampoos and wash products left over and was wondering if they can be used in a foam gun?

I tried searching but all reviews on the foam gun typically use wash and shampoos specifically for foam guns.
 
Any car wash shampoo can be use in foam gun ;)
Just fill with 2-3oz, mix with distilled water and enjoy the party Lol
 
Mr Pink for me. OR stay fresh pre soak. But almost any car wash soap will work

I'm not sure I understand why I might need a foam gun. I had wash my cars weekly with all of the appropriate care techniques, and they don't really see any heavy dirt except in the winter. On my car that I QD 2 or 3 times a week, I might not even need to wash it.

Do I need a foam gun?
 
DP makes one that is formulated just for foam guns. Great product as well. Just make sure you fill it with distilled water or deionized water otherwise you'll be cursing for the rest of the day. :props:
