Foaming doesn't make sense

I heard that the reason for foaming is to lift up dirt without touching the car.

However if foam is that STRONG, wouldn't that also lift up your sealant and wax??

It will soften and lift dirt, but it still needs to be washed with a sponge/mitt. It can remove some of the sealant/wax if mixed at a high ratio.
 
I only use it when I do a full correction. But yes you will need to hand wash after foaming. Just makes it easier to not have as much marring when u hand wash.
 
Foaming is an easy way to easily coat the paint with soap to help loosen dirt since foam will tend to cling to the paint. A foam cannon is even better.

The type of soap and dilution will determine whether it will strip the protection.

Where did you get this info from?
 
It does not matter what I believe hand.
Never owned a foamer...I use an old school method to foam a car with suds after the initial rinse.

I used to think the same thing Flash until following Chapman around for a week and I now have one on my wish list.
Do you need me to smuggle a file inside a cake for ya ? Nice to know you haven't assumed room temperature yet.
