I'm not sure how many others have issue's with CarPro's Fog-Fight application process and final results?

I just can't get the product to finish smear/visible free.

I've tried several application with un-favorable results.
Here is my process:
Clean Glass (Megs Professional Glass Cleaner)
Spray 2 sprays 2'x2' area
Wipe coverage with blue suede wrapped around foam block
Wait 5-10min
Final light wipe with MF

It always shows smear marks at different angles? If I wipe until the smearing disappears, the product becomes no-effective(windshield/mirrors become foggy when using defrost).

Has anyone had success(without seeing smear marks at different viewing angles)with this product? :dunno:

Alot of us have had issues, including myself, Corey, BobbyG...and a few others. I haven't had any success.

Same thing, I'm very dissapointed with the results. I figured I would give it one more try and see what happens. I tried it twice which is a similar process to yours, just tried wiping it off with the bigger suede MF that comes with it and still same thing. Its a PITA to remove and it doesn't work.

Hi
i know its little tricky to use and we are working to improve it.
in the meantime.. let it cure longer time on the surface. once its dry you can use more force with the mf wipe off, use terry cloth to remove. soft plushy mf wont be good for that.
so wiping off with more power while flipping the mf sides and wiping should help you to get best surface clean.
i hope cee dog will chime in to add his remark from his tests.

I was going to get fog fight but with all this talk about people having issues with it I'll just stick to the old stand-by, shaving creame(no joke).

It doesn't work, end of story. Don't mean to be too harsh, but it should have been said up front that it is impossible to get the glass to be 100% streak free after applying this product. Avi even admited in another thread that since it is a layer on glass it will never bee 100% perfect. Waste of money.

Avi, you sure probably do more R&D before releasing a product. You shouldn't have to improve it while it's already on the market.

This happened with CQuartz, too. Of course, there's always new and improved formulas that companies come out with, but usually not because of a problem with the current one. I was not impressed at all with Fixer either. Sure, there may be a learning curve or specific technique, but I'd much rather use a product that I can get the same end result much easier.

Yep...imma agree with this one. Not a good look dropping a product when there are known issues that aren't disclosed to the consumer before hand. This will make me think twice about purchasing another Carpro product.

My Dad would do that with the bathroom mirror so he could shave and see what he was doing.

I tried it again(let it cure 30min before final wipe)on my bathroom mirrors again this evening Avi-No Go :(

I know you are working on improvements to this exciting product and I wish I could get
"this version" to work because I have several bottle's of the current Fog-Fight.If I knew I was going to have the problems i'm having,I wouldn't of purchased the bottle's I have.

I think a refund of the purchase price is in order from Car Pro considering that they admitt to there being an issue. JMO tho.

Well, this is already a huge letdown since I picked some up but haven't gotten around to trying it out yet.

Anybody tried blow drying it with a compressor or hair dryer prior to removal?

I like this idea. But I doubt they'd do that. Granted it isn't expensive, but I could have used that $9 for something else. I really want to try TarX, but after all of this..I have to think twice about Carpro products. I don't want to waste more money. Maybe Avi could send me out some TarX as compensation.

BTW the durability is that great either. I used on my bathroom mirrors after 6-10 showers it completely fogs up.

I didnt have any issues with the bathroom mirror and a few weeks later, it's still holding up. i've looked at it from as many angles as I could. I think the way you guys are talking to Avi is a bit harsh. You say "do more testing before releasing". What other CarPro product has let you down? Quite honestly, I think CarPro has been making fantastic products and they're affordable to the public. Sure, FogFight may not be perfected, but there are other products out there that haven't been great upon release. First thing that came to mind was optimum's metal polish. I didn't like the first gen of it. But Optimum has fixed the problem and the new one is much better. I'm sure Avi will fix the issues and correct whatever was wrong.

With all due respect Trent,I don't see where I was being harsh. If you read all my post on this thread ,I'm just stating the facts from my point of veiw.If it wasn't for us that are having problems, why would there be a revision/update with the product?
I am a big fan of CarPro products-Just NOT this one.

Cquartz had TERRIBLE water spotting issues when it first came out, and it had to be fixed.
