So I finally got my first car, a '97 Ford Taurus. It was sitting for a while and it had some extensive body damage and paint issues. After a couple of washes and whatnot I was pretty pleased with my car. There's however one major issue that is plaguing my car. There's this weird white haze or film that appears when it hits certain light. The haze coupled with the glare makes it downright impossible to drive. The haze appears to be on the inside of the car's glass and it was right above the dash making it hard to reach.I've tried just about everything I had at my disposal: Windex, alcohol, vinegar, invisible glass even Mr.clean magic eraser to no avail. I really don't have the money to replace all of the affected glass in the car.I'm at my wits end and I don't know what to do.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is the glass tinted ? you may have vinyl fog its kind of common in modern cars try cleaning your windows with a two towels instead of one and if you need get on the passenger side to clean the hard to reach areas of the driver side if it the problem still there try.water spot remover

That can be repairs with diamondite and a rotary. The kit is $40 I think.

That's some pretty tough areas to get to....by hand or machine!

-You can try some of the below listed product on a terry cloth towel.
Can't promise perfect results because of the difficulty of the locations.

-Use Caution while working on the door glass---it's tempered, not laminated like the windshield.
-Also: Try to protect the dash and door cards from obtaining any polishing residues.

Meguiars Mirror Glaze #4 Heavy-Cut Cleaner:
Meguiar's #4 Heavy-Cut Cleaner is an agressive car polish for severe auto paint defects. #4 Cleaner is one of Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Professional Car

Hope it works out for you.

...to AGO!!

I'm no glass expert, but since it is the windshield (which is laminated), it could be the plastic layer is delaminating from the two glass layers and appears to be foggy.

The glass is somewhat tinted at the top of the windshield i am going to order the Meguiars Mirror Glaze #4 Heavy-Cut Cleaner and see if that helps. I have a flexible drill extension so i might buy a buffing pad for the drill.

I use the Glass Wizard on inside glass along with a liberal coating of Invisible Glass. It gets into very small corners. If you find it outside, then consider DP Glass Restorer or Ceriglass as needed.
