Foggy/Milky Coating-PLEASE HELP!!-

I was told my my installer that I could wash OG within 3 to 4 days with no issues. I waited 72 hours and wash my car off.

Ok, and if they told you that it is fine.

I always suggest keeping it dry for 24-36 hours and no soap washing far at least 7 days. Which is more on the safe side and still acceptable IMO.

Is this the fist time and a one time only event?

If so, wait till tomorrow and see if the condensation disappears.

Sure, but I wouldn't expect it at 70 degress outside you know? Plus the fact that it's not even.

I guess you haven't been parking your car outside for long. We usually call this phenomenon "dew" and how "even" it is will depend on a lot of factors. I suggest going inside and having a beverage, call us back if the film isn't gone by 10AM tomorrow.

Umm... That looks and sounds like condensation (water). I've seen this before when washing in the winter.

I'm not sure where your at and how cold it is, but if you start the car and let it idle, it should go away on the hood.

Only other thing I can thing of is your shampoo separated and you washed the car with an odd % of the shampoo ingredients. Wash the shampoo bottle new or almost empty?

One time they were messing with pipes where I live and all my water turned brown right as I started washing. It was full of rust and sediment. But, I'm sure you would have noticed brown water.

I noticed it the 24 hours after application, and I was told it was just condensation. It doesn't seem to be anywhere but my roof and trunk

That would be because the hood is warmer because the engine is under it, or you've got the car nosed up to the house where it's warmer. BTW waxed cars get more noticeable condensation than unwaxed. Really, it's time to relax about this.

Condensation is never even for me, but it usually happens when its cold. What your humidity? If its on the hood, idle the car until its warm and see if it goes away.

Should I be alerted about a possible issue with my OG? I've heard if it wasn't applied evenly that it would fog up badly.

I am now leaning towards and agree with Setec. This is most likely condensation/dew. I agree wait till the morning and see it is disappears as the morning dew does.

If you are truly worried you should have your detailer check it out as we can't answer and solve this 100% as we don't know all of the info and details in the situation.

If your detailer is a stand up guy (I have no reason to believe he is not) he will look at it and take of it if necessary or help you in your maintenance as well.

I think we should let this rest and evaporate overnight...

I hope the detailer was right about being able to wash it that soon, and that I didn't mess up with the washing or UQD by Meguiars.

I thought you were gone? Your increasing attitude is not appreciated. You should understand someone being confused, and wanting the best for their vehicle. If that is not something that you can understand, then possibly commenting on their posts should be refrained from. Thank you for your first few posts, which actually contained helpful information.

What attitude? That is the verbatim weather forecast for where I live (emphasis mine). I have tried to mellow you out because the consensus among the members is you have some dew on your car, which is not cause for concern, but you seem to becoming increasingly agitated. Please believe that I have washed my car many, many times in the evening, and I have experienced dew on my car...and yes, you can wipe it off and it comes back, and yes, it forms unevenly based on a number of factors. I promise it will go away in the morning after the sun comes up and warms up your car. Good luck. Over and out.

It's dew. My car is outside 24/7 and I wash at dusk when the sun is starting to go down. It never covers the whole car, usually just the roof for me (I have a hatchback so it would be roof/trunk on a normal car), but I have also had it on the hood and doors.

It's always streaky like that and mirrors my drying strokes when I'm getting the water off the car from the wash.

Look at your car in the middle of the day in the sun. If there's cloudiness then, there may be an issue, but I doubt there will be.

How long did it take for yours to leave Bill? I've been done for 1.5 hours.

It was more like 3-4 hours, until all the temps equaled out. I am not sure where you live, but around here it has been raining and really humid. Got out of work last night and there were little sports all over car, same deal, it really looked funny since it was just small areas not full panels. This morning it is fine.
