I already have a gal of OPC but don't see it mentioned for carpet much on this forum.

only the carpet under the brake and gas pedal is dirty because it is not covered by the all weather floor mat.

Is OPC capable of this small job or should I go HD for a bottle of folex?

Since you already have it go ahead and try the Optimum first. Try a small hidden spot full strength first. If it doesn't change the carpet coloring then hit the dirty spots.

Like stated before try OPC, Optimum power cleans virtually anything with that said it's pricey product therefore if it was me I would use OPC for now but go ahead and buy folex later that way I could save the best ammo(products) for the real tought job.....just my eight cents

I've used it on carpets 3:1 and it works great. Depends how dirty your carpets are but it should work

3:1 dilution would work well... Opt does have Carpet cleaner too.

OPC hasn't fail me in any tough job yet

Thanks folks, the small area under the brake pedal is not very dirty. I'll just use OPC see how it goes.

This is something I am imagining goes on. Please correct me if I'm incorrect.

On paint: when one cleans the paint by stripping any contaminants, wax, sealants etc... We always then reseal the paint by applying a wax, sealant, coating etc...

So wouldn't this apply for the interior as well? So lets say for carpet. After cleaning it with Folex, Apc, etc...

Shouldn't we also seal it to protect it? Shouldn't we use something like CarPro carpet Coating?

^ that was all I could find but I know CarPro has a better video

Between Einszett and Optimum APC, which one is the best?

The one that works, and the one you like the best. Not trying to be snotty there, just that there really isn't a right or wrong answer. Me, I'd use Folex or Megs APC+ or APC (non plus), or maybe even..... some sort of "oxy" type carpet cleaner (the name of which I can't recall right now). :dunno:
