For a gallon of gas....that's ridiculous!!!

I try to run ethanol-free premium,and it's up over 4 bucks a gallon now!

I've noticed regular gas is up over $3.30 a gallon now here.

I just run ethanol-free in my outdoor power equip and it is over 30 cents higher than ethanol-enriched. It is hard to find in some places.

Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada

We have actually have 4 places right here in my hometown where you can get it in various grades. A guy opened up a station here a few years ago with ethanol-free gas in all grades. For the first couple of years it was open he was able to match everyone else's price,or he was cheaper. He was killing all the big boys especially since it was ethanol-free. I don't know what happened, but his prices are much higher now. He still does a fairly decent business, and especially during boating season. Not like it was though.

Most of the stations here have 3 grades. The lowest grade is ethanol free, now it is about $3.37, mid grade has ethanol in it, and is the same price. The best I have figured is mid grade is the same gas as the lowest grade with ethanol mixed in to give the higher octane rating. The highest rated is about $3.65 and is ethanol free. That is true for about every station in town.

Now here is the question, we are at 'higher altitude', so our octane is lower. The lowest level is 85 midgrade is 87. Knowing the 85 is the same price as the 87, but the 87 has 10% ethanol added what would you choose?

Wish I could find pumps with 100+. Well I know where 100LL is but I don't think that is good for a car.

I hear no public outcry against the ridiculous prices for the gallons of petrol-products it takes to make ridiculously priced car-care supplies...to "detail" many of the vehicles consuming these ridiculously priced gallons of petrol-fuel.

Currently in Southern Ontario, Canada, we are paying $1.39/litre = $5.28/gallon for regular.

I would love to pay $4/gallon = $1.05/litre.
