But seriously, I love The Carpenters. Grew up listening to it, thanks to mom.

Aerosmith: sweet emotion
Dire Straights: Sultans of swing
U2: Vertgo/Mysterious ways
Linkin Park: a light that never ends

Lazy is an excellent driving song as is the entire Machine head album.
Personal favorite is Radar Love by Golden Earing.

Highway song - Blackfoot
Dream on - Aerosmith
Jane - Jefferson Starship

Yes!

First, I remember that song as a kid. I'm gonna say I was 5 or 6 when that song was popular...

Fast forward to 2012, it was on a mix cd I bought. I'm listening to that song, and On and On by Steven Bishop - another favorite from my childhood.

2012 was the year I started seeing my better half, who I've know since 5th grade.

Besides all that, it's such a great tune musically!

Talk Show is probably my favorite band of all time. I love the music, and the vocalist. It was the first music I got into that wasn't some type of metal (Motley Cruel to Metallica). It also brings back great detailing memories.

This song is a driver though:

My two favorite classic driving tunes are:
1. Radar Love- Golden Earring
2. Highway Star- Deep Purple

1. Twisting the night away--As performed by Sam Cooke
2. The Wanderer--As performed by Dion
3. Beethoven's Fifth Symphony--As performed by Cleveland Symphony Orchestra
4. In the Mood--As performed by the Glen Miller Orchestra
5. Music from Victory at Sea--As performed by the NBC Symphony Orchestra

No one ever accused me of having normal tastes in music

I Can't Drive 55 - Sammy Hagar
Panama - Van Halen
Trampled Under Foot - Led Zepplin
Highway To Hell - AC/DC

So many other great songs to drive to, just can't list/remember them all.
