For you mechanics

Dunn tire here uses it. They dont charge $5 PER POUND though. So a car tire that takes 35psi costs $175 to fill up????? Sounds fishy to me

Pretty expensive for something that already makes up 78% of the air we breath, and compress to put in our tires. For as long as we have put rubber tires on stuff, we've used compressed air in them with no ill effects. Yeah, topping them off once in a while can be an inconvenience but nitrogen will leak from the the tire and valve as well. Then you have to find a specialized station to refill them.

Dry nitrogen is required in aircraft tires because of the extreme temperature changes they experience, as well as the amount of heat generated stopping from 150ish miles per hour.

Did they offer to top off her blinker fluid, too? I would suggest your sister buy a quality gauge and check her tires once a month. Maybe even buy one of those inflators that plugs into the 12v in your car. They're very handy in a situation like she had.

No, but they welcome her back later to change over to summer air from winter air... :joking:

It's crazy how how cheap and small those compressors have gotten- I got one for $25 where the whole box it's in is the size of a short stack of CD's.
