There are people mindful of this. Tesla actually took a step back in power density to go with a battery chemistry that reduced the reliance on expensive rare-earth minerals. And I’m using Tesla as an example since they aren’t the only one. And I’m not putting Tesla/Elon on a pedestal as other companies are looking to do similarly, they are the most visible that have recently switched battery chemistry in production vehicles.

So yes it is an issue but companies are working on addressing. I wish progress could happen over night but we know reality.
 
Just my 2 cents...

I in no way shape or form think electric is a solution.

The carbon footprint that is created to assemble them is mind-blowing... and what is the hardest thing to recycle? A battery.

If fossil fuels are so bad... I will keep using them up for everyone :D

What's the issue? This engine isn't exactly new or did they tweak it for Bronco use

No, it's not really new...

A batch seems to be dropping a valve, and there's a coolant line rubbing issue some have experienced.

It's not a high percentage of these failures... but couple that with everything else and it's not a good story.
