Well i finally got to detail the Fairlane with the new stuff i got a couple of weeks ago. This is the first time the car has been fully detail probaby since the paint was put on about 7-8 years ago. The paint was in good condition with just some minor swirls and
after i was finish a small bit of them were still there, but you really cant see them that well and i dont mind that they are there. In all i probably knocked out about 85% of the swirls, might have to use a heavier remover. It took me about 4 day to complete the whole car. I hope you injoy the pictures.

Wash: Two bucket method with sheep skin mitt and 3M car wash.

Clay: Mothers Clay System

Polish:Porter Cable with Pinnacle XMT Intermediate Swirl Remover #3 with 6 in. Edge green pad.

Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 with 6 in. blue pad.

Wax: Mother Carnuba Wax hand applied then buff off with Porter Cable with Microfiber bonett.

Wheels and Rims: Rims polish with just a mircofiber towel and the wheels got Armoral wheel gel.

Crome: Polished with just a mircofiber towel.

Before:
Tapped up with about 2 rolls of blue painters tape.

I had so much tape i kept rolling it in a ball when i was finally finished polishing, and the ball was mushed down as mush as i could go.

After all that:

Thats a very cool looking car. What a wonderful job you did on it.

Thanks for the comments.
The year is a 1963 Ford Fairlane 500

Nice work! Thats a great car, I love the looks. Love the picture with the American flag! :)

Nice job! I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Looks good.

:righton: , clean looking Fairlane.

I'm on a Pro-Touring forum, and was also browsing a Chevelle site today. My goal is to build a Pro-Touring 66'-67' Chevelle:cheers:

Man I love old school! That's a beautiful Farlane... You done here right.:applause:

My dad orginally bought it on a K-mart parking lot for $500 from some guy who used it as a daily driver in town. It was in pretty bad condition, so he restored the whole thing: body, interior, engine. The engine was rebuilt and new parts were put in here and there. The interior was redone also. But the whole is basically orginal, my dad wanted it to look like it came right off the show room floor.

SWEET CAR!! And you did a great job on it too! Love the last pic with the Flag in the background.

Any more interior pics?
Some more exteriors would be nice too.
It looks VERY nicely restored.

And it does!!!

You did a great job, on a classic. You don't see any of those going down the road that often.
