Wash and detailed my '13 Focus ST today.
Used CG wash n gloss, m-seal, wheel cleaner.
I still cant clean glass very well. We've got such hard water, I cannot get water spots off the glass once dried. Nothing spectacular, just wanted to post pics of the shiney.

I don't own polishing equipment.
I'll try clay though.

I love these cars. One of my clients has a silver one and his wheels are hideous after two weeks. Are you having any issues with brake dust? I've sealed his wheels but it's still terrible.

Yeah the dust is pretty bad. I bought some wheel wax that I applied today, so hopefully it helps. I'll be able to give the barrels a proper cleaning in a month or so when I take them off and put my winter wheels on. I can use m seal on the rims, right? Or would the heat be too much.

This is actually my second Focus. I had a tuxedo black SEL, even had a nice black/white leather combo. But the dealer made me an offer I couldn't say no too with this ST. Its definitely not a monster, but its a great drive.

You can, it won't stand up to repeated wiper blade uses, but has been used by many for years, I have it on my windows except the windshield. They also make Opti-Glass which is made for glass specifically.

I was more so talking about wheels in that post.

I have 2 brand new 2013 ford vehicles , both have the wheels opticoated . tell ya the truth I can't see much brake dust on them at all . cleanup is easy .

Beautiful car man, and my favorite color. Not a fan of the racing stripes tho. I'm actually trying to decide if I want to trade in my F150 for either a focus st or a mustang v6 w/performance pack.

As for the glass, try aquapel. Works very well for me and lasts a long time.

I love the car and love the stripes even more! The last pic above really looks awesome! Did you have the stripes added or did the dealership add them?

The stripes were added by the dealership. They are very polarizing. People either love them or hate them. The camera doesn't pick it up very well but in direct sunlight, they really glow. They're just vinyl, I'm going to pull them off in a couple years.

I might try opticoat next year. I live in a part of Canada where it wouldn't be unusual to see snow by the middle of October. I'll save the opticoat for the next spring cleaning.

if i were you id do the opti coat before winter starts, thats where you will get the most benefit.

I understand what your saying about the stripes, I've had stripes on cars in the past and your right, people either like them or they don't, yours look absolutely stunning, maybe you'll change your mind about removing them. On a white car they are REALLY needed to break things up IMO. I'd get some Ford blue engine paint and paint the calipers too. Any mods planned for the car? I got the chance to drive one once and really, really like the car but its waaaaaay too quiet for me, the muffler would be the first thing to go, replaced with a straight pipe. Now you might think it would be loud but it will not be, remember, the turbo acts a muffler of sorts. After that an intake would be next:props:

Won't be doing anything this year but probably a CAI and ECU tune sometime down the road.
I like that its quiet when cruising, but when I open it up you can hear it.

The stripes are on for a few years regardless now. I put clear bra on the front end.
