It only had 1000 or so winter miles, and only has 2,900 on it, and had a few coats of sealant before winter. It beads, but not great. It really needs a clay though, you could feel it when drying the car.

Nice car.
I have been seriously consider getting a FoST (202a) in Blue or white. I am interested in you thoughts on your car compared your past vehicles. My current car is an Acura RSX TypeS.

I like the Speed3 also, if we lived close to a Mazda dealer even within a 100 miles I would have more than likely gone that way.

As a former RSX-S owner and someone that has been behind the wheel of an ST I must say the focus wins in power and handling. I will say though that for looks the RSX-S beats it. The ST also has tons of more tech inside but that's a given as mine was an '04.

Sorry not trying to take this thread on an amazing looking car off topic.
I am really trying to decide between the Focus ST3 and the GTI. The GTI is more expensive but has a nice more “adult” interior & ride IMO. I have test driven both cars and am really torn. I like the extra power and easier tuning ability the ST3 offers but love the ride quality and every day drivability of the GTI. My one issue is that with my RSX TypeS I am averaging 30-32mpg and I hate to give up the fuel economy. I also feel like the RSX is one of the best laid out cars in the interior as everything is located and spaced properly and nothing feels cramped. Heck if Honda / Acura would bring back the RSX / Integra I would jump all over it.

The seats are definitely boy racerish, but the seats sold me on the car. Before I bought it I joined a FoST forum and my first question was 'Is the ST a kids car?' You are correct, the VW is more 'grown up', but that isn't always fun.

Looks good. I also own a ST. Love it. This is a pic of the day I brought it home.
So far its a pretty rare car. Ive only seen two others on the road. Looking forward to putting my summer wheels back on.

Is that the factory stripe kit? Car looks good with them. I have never seen another ST on the road, and my local dealer doesn't even have a FoST or FiST. I put my summer wheels back on less than a week ago.

Mine was applied by the dealer. I know the 2014 had a factory option for stripes. Mines a 2013. They're just decals, not painted. I might take them off in a couple years. I still have my winters on, I live in a part of Canada where I've seen it snow as late as May. So I'll keep them on for a couple more weeks to be safe.
