I have a quick question that I could not find and answer to using the search feature. I just bought a truck and the color is the white tri-coat. I noticed that it appears to have some rail dust on the tailgate. What would be best to remove these spots? I was also wondering about the paint itself, the dealer just told me it was thicker paint. Looking for any advice that anyone might have.

Iron X for the rust looking spots. Not sure what your other question is?

The paint may be "thicker" since their tri step paint has an extra step to give it that look. But at the end of the day it has a clearcoat on it like all new cars. So nothing special needs to be done.

I would clay the entire truck, give it a polish if needed, and follow up with a sealant/wax.

Thanks for the tips. I tried some clay and the spots came out. I ordered some XMT Speed Clay and will wait for that to show up before I do the rest.
