Went to a random auto parts store in my town called "Auto Value."

Found a few DG products such as 101, 111, and a few of theor misc. dressings. Also a lot of Megs mirror products and polishes.

Well, then I half-way stood up, looked to my right, and almost $hit a brick....

Yep, Megs #16. I immediately grabbed it and asked the guy behind the counter how much is it, and how long has it been here.

Price: $13.73
Not sure how old it is, but pictures are below in its condition. It doesn't look that bad, but I think I'm going to cut off the top 1/4" and toss it. This should be fine, right?

Well, needless to say, that made my day. Now time to try it out. I've never used #16 before but I almost bought it from one of those Canada online stores, thank God I didn't!!!

no need to cut any off..it is perfect....cracks and bubbles are results from cooling after its poured....Mine look like that and not a thing wrong with them..I have a can of 16 thats close to 9 years old and performs just like it did on day 1....keep it all and use it...

AMAZING! Its like something a comic/coin collector would dream about haha, finding a rarity at an unusual place!

I heard that waxes are good forever if the weather doesnt get to it!

Did they only have ONE tin left?

Hart: what a great find!

Fusion Orange: I love the avatar!

Don't worry about the top! Mine looked not as good as yours and it works perfectly :)

I was so tempted to buy it from a UK site, but i'll wait on it. I'm still very happy with my souveran wax. Good find tho!

Yep, that's the site. I'm not sure if it's a local place or not?
According to the site, there are about 6 other "part" stores in my vacinity, I just might have to go check them out!

And yes, one more can left and that was it. It had a ton of dust though!

I bet they found it on the floor in the back and they just laughed when you bought it since it was probably like 12 years old.

Nice find. When I went looking for #16 I hit a ton of stores with no luck. End up paying about $25 with shipping on ebay.

HAHHAHA I was thinking of the same thing.

VM/#16 look great on white and that 1 tin should last you 10 yrs easy (if using it on 2 maybe 3 cars). Oh and thin thin thin, "If you think you're not using enough, you're using to much". Good find.

yeah dont worry about the top it looks normal

if the cracks n stuff ever get to be a concern...gently warm it in a pan and let it re settle

Mine didn't look like that when I got mine from Europe, but you're right, it looks awesome on white. Love that stuff.

And you know what? I've layered it a bit on the thick side and it was still a breeze get remove.

I have two tins that should last me a while.
