Hi,
I have new 2014 jeep gc and over the weekend my husband and I clayed it using ricardo clay and lube, then cleaned using the wolfgang polish enhancer. Then applied the four star sealant. It looked amazing that evening but when we woke up yesterday morning and went out it looked like we had applied the sealant but didnt remove it. We quickly went over it with our towels and it looked great again only to wake up this morning to the same haze. Any idea as to what's going on?? Do we need to start back over?? Thanks for any info.

My guess is that it isn't compatible with the WG polish enhancer, which basically is a glaze with light cleaning ability. I would strip it by use of strong wash & IronX or polishing it. Then Just use the 4*. That sealant has the look and soft feel of carnauba and the durability of a polymer sealant. Great product!

I dont think thats the issue. I've used those 2 products together before with zero issues and I know others have as well. :)

OP, I think what you're experiencing is ghosting which lots of folks deal with sometimes.

True, that could be it as well. Some pics would help AUJEEPGIRL

Your name suggests you are in Australia (AU)... I have no idea what the weather/climate/humidity is like there. But, if it's happening in the morning, are you sure you are just not seeing condensation from cooler temps overnight? Sometimes this can appear as an issue, but it's really just condensation forming on a freshly made hydrophobic surface - which is normal.

Ghosting or hazing tends to show up when the car gets HOT. So, methinks if this was the cause it would show up during the day in the sun - not first thing in the morning.

As for the products you used, they should be compatible. Another point is sealants usually don't ghost or sweat - just high percentage carnauba waxes. So, I don't think this is your issue.

Just my experience.

:iagree: those were my thoughts as well. Condensation.

Never had any issues with 4 Star ... zero ! You apply it thin, allow to haze, and buff off. Now on cool mornings you could see some dew and condensation sitting on the finish, towels should be slightly damp when removed.

Not sure why your having issues but I can safely say it's not the products your using, your using some of the best.

Make sure to,

Prep well, most important.
Apply extremely light coats when using the sealant.
Make sure you wait at least and hour for it to cure before removing it and don't let it get wet for 24 hours.
Work clean, use the best MF towels you can get your hands on and use a few to buff off the sealant.

Thanks everyone for your advice, I believe it was ghosting. I called four star and we ended up spraying with distilled water and wiping away and this morning no ghosting. The jeep looks great, first time to try four star and love the way the jeep looks deep black. I'll try post some pics later. I'm from nw Alabama where heat and humidity is brutal so that was probably a contributing factor. Thanks everyone. Oh the AU if for Auburn. Auburn Tigers, War Eagle ALL!!
