Well got the call a few min ago you never want to get. It was bank. Did you charge $138 at a sunoco in montgomery PA? Ahhh...NO! Fraud. They closed the debit card and told me to contact my bank. Called the 1 800 number on the back and talked to doug. Yea, and there was another one at another sunoco for $138.50! JESUS. He told me its closed and will issue a new card. And send some paper work out i have to do. Cant figure out where it happened? Card reader no doubt.

1. pumped gas at sheetz last night. paid at pump.
2. pizza today at pappys. Same hostess. She took the card as usuall. Then gave it back. maybe here?
3. supermarket. paid at terminal.
4. get go some things. paid inside on terminal.

No one was around me at these places??

Glad they caught it that quick!! He also said yea that amount is missing, but we issue you a credit for the amount missing. However that works? First time this has happend to me. Well at least the partys over for the *ricks!

Montgomery County PA? That's my hood.

I think a lot of this CC fraud is random.

Once someone was dumb enough to by airline tickets with my CC. Really? How dumb could you be.

PS... Thanks for the gas Pro4x.

 No doubt.

1. gas
2. lottery tickets
3. smokes

They probably got your card a while back, check your statement for a small charge, that's how they figure out if the card is still active.

Never let your CC/DC leave your sight. Pay at the Cashier and not through your Server. I was hit twice in one year on two different cards.

That is exactly why I only use cash. If I somehow can't use it, I simply don't buy it.

It has happened to me I think twice. One time was right after filing taxes thru Turbo Tax online.

Who knows about this stuff?

I had a credit freeze on my card a month or so ago because there were simultaneous charges in Paris, London, New York, San Francisco and Toronto.

Anyone want to meet up for dinner and drinks tonight on Pro4X?

Be quite the Happy Hour>>>>>>>>>>>>> not so much for him tho.
This is all in the great "Spread the Wealth" that started 6 years ago.

Someone told me a bit over a year or so ago that card info when used at the pump is transmitted via wi-fi, so it would be vulnerable. However, I am not in the least certain if this info is accurate.

I was on vacation one time and my card was in my safe at home, got home from vaca and their was over $5,000 in charges on it. Still can't believe the bank didn't think that was suspicious.

Man I am glad they caught that quick. Happened to me about 10 days ago. They realized I did not move to the Phillipines and buy plane tickets. But still someone got a plane ticket for $1,500.

This is why I use cash. Sorry for your misfortune. That really sucks.
