Free Online Advertising

I am getting ready to start advertising and was wondering if you guys can help me out as to which avenues I can take to advertise online for free.

I know there is a list in a post somewhere that has this information in it but I can't seem to find it. I believe it was someones introductory post that had them in it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbtack.com - it was fast/free/and has updated me on craiglist posts - didnt know it did that but I made 200 bucks within a week or two of posting on this site :dblthumb2:
 
Thanks Anthony, I just checked it out and found a couple detailers in my area that i didn't even know were around. Pretty cool! I will definately be using that.

Yep - dreaded bus will be in EVERY advertising tool I have from now on until my boys take over the business LOL!!!! This has been a great little tool for me - hope it works well for you :dblthumb2:
 
Create a Google Places page for your business if you havent already. With this, any time someone around you usues Google to search for auto detailers they will see your business and others like it. This alone has brought me about 50% of my business. Your results may vary but there aren't a lot of other detailers around me and with my ratings/reviews much better than my competitors it's a no brainer for some people.

I don't think manta is free. Not when i tried.
 
Not sure. I know they do offer pay accounts to get more features and stuff. I honestly don't even use manta I just signed up to have my name one more place out there.

Somewhat true - to get where I have gotten in 9 months I beat the pavement a few solid times...... otherwise I would be staring at the wall wondering why no one was calling me lol!

DON"T RELY ON THE INTERNET ALONE PEOPLE!!!!

That is true Flash. I do get a lot of people from the internet. Amazing what search engines and classifieds can do. lol.

However I do go out and hit the pavement whenever I can find time. Working a full time job and doing my detailing nights and weekends makes it tough. But I have hit local businesses and local places. I'm going to be going to some car meets coming up too.

I'm willing to do whatever I can to make my business successful. Ever venue has it's advantages. For example you may go to a car meet and get some guys that are not really on the internet and don't rely on it to find people for their services.
