I just joined this forum because I just bought a brand new 2008 C6 Corvette Coupe. It is Victory Red. I would like to get some insight on what should be the first thing I do to it as far as care goes. Should I put a coat of wax on right away or wait? What type products should I use? Should I do any kind of treatment before wax? I want to make sure I take good care of it from the get-go. I want this car to last me many years. The last one I bought was a 71 in the early 80's and still but wish I'd have taken better care of the paint. Don't want to make the same mistakes on this one!

Thanks, Ray

:welcome: and congratulations on your new Vette.

This is the process that you'll want to do:

Wash-Clay-Polish-Protect.

If you research each of those catagories on AG you may find that you won't need to do some now but that it's a good roadmap forever.

Glad you joined... i'm a few hours south of you!!! Be glad to answer any questions you may have
