I have been absorbing the boards for months, lurking and learning. Kinda got pushed into having to learn more by a not-so-profesional detail job.

Decided to treat myself to a full detail work up on my 2011 328. Got the car back and it looked great until the wax (and fillers) wore off. Buffer swirls everywhere it was a mess. Took 6 months and a few calls and letters to corporate office but they agreed to fix it. Yes, I know taking it back to them a second time was not smart. I did. You are correct. It was stupid. I knew you could layer wax, I did not know you could layer swirls. These gents were artists. :nomore:

I will learn to do it myself. Definitely appreciate the help I have gotten here. Wish I were closer to some of you as I would be even happier to learn first hand.

Looking to see if a trip to the geek is in the future.

What are the full specs on it?

I have a 2007 e90 335i sport package 6 speed in Jet black. Wife has a 2011 e91 328i auto in Jet black.
 
Welcome to AGO, there are two things I tell my friends after I detail their cars. First, never take it a car wash and secondly, never let the dealership wash your car when you bring it in for service. I will either teach them how to clean a car properly, or they can pay me to do it for them. I have about 10 cars a week that I wash on a weekly bases and this is just my hobby.

Mine is a 2011 328i Vermillion Red - oddest packages I think I have ever seen as it was an executive car. Luxury and convenience package but loaded up on the sport options.

Wife ended up crossing over to the benz.
