Front Plate Holes Bumper Repair

Sorry to put the bad news on the table but multiple things didn't go well. It's going off to the body shop.
1. Paint color didn't match. I first tested on two cards. It was much darker after 3 light coats.
2. The 2k CC can ruptured. This was a big turn off. Luckily I was wearing a mask and safety glasses.
3. The vapors of all the paints get in the house, my family doesn't like it.

I have painted my front bumper at least 3 times. I did not fill any holes but I need a front plate in Ontario. I would fill the holes with J-B Weld Plastic Bonder. This cures in 1-2 hrs and can be sanded after curing. Make sure above surface and put a heat gun on it to make it flow better (2-3 min). Sand with 800 grit and the apply Glaze Putty. Sand again with 800 grit. Spray filler primer over entire bumper. Sand again with 800 grit. What you see is how the final colour and finish will look like. If still not OK then re-apply filler primer until sanded surface meets your expectation. Apply colour coats (Canadian spelling) usually 2. You want to get complete colour coverage not shine. I then wait 30 min. before applying 3 coats of Clear (10-15 minutes flash between coats). I then wait 24hrs to wet sand with 1500-2000 grit and buff out with Compound and Polish. Sholud need 1 can of colour coat and 2 cans of Clear.

I have the bumper scheduled at Metropolitan Auto Rebuild in Seattle for June. They offered to start the job with a new bumper.
