Guys, I have recently moved from Missouri to Edmonton Canada for a period of time and the removal company that shifted my house hold items unloaded today and my polishes and detail products were frozen.
It has been well below zero for the past week.
Question - Will the products thaw out ok? I have them in the underground garage which has a temp of 47 F to 49 F, so it will be a slow thaw.
Are these items salvageable ?

Some might be bad.
:iagree:

Some products are more sensitive to cold than others. I would bring them inside so that they thaw more quickly. See which ones are bad and then if it's a big loss file a damage claim with your mover.

Bring them inside and let them thaw naturally. I would not put them in the microwave, as you want to avoid extreme temperature changes, as well as the microwave energy may affect the chemistry of the polishes adversely by breaking them down. Once they thaw many of them may be seperated; shake them vigorously and see if they remix.

:iagree: if the product doesn't come together after shaking it's bad.

+1 it should be fairly obvious which products are bad and which are still good. I've seen this happen to quite a few products and they tend to separate and clump up.

Thanks guys for your responses, much appreciated.

I have a sample bottle of WGDGPS that stays out in the garage and I looked at it today and the oil has separated from the polish. I shook it up as much as I could and I think it came back together, but I'm not sure. The 16oz. bottle that I just got from AG stays inside now, along with all of my polishes and waxes (I keep them in a bookshelf in my room).
