I swear this is just not going to end...

Today my mother got a letter from her ex's attorney stating that her and I owe him $5k within 10 days for his "missing items", the repair to the TV, and his attorney fees. And that if they don't receive it they are going to take us to court.

He is once again claiming that I threatened him and told him I'd smash all of his stuff. Which is not what was said, but whatever that's he said she said crap.

And he is claiming all stuff he gave me is "missing" and he made up a bunch of crap that is "missing".
 
He knows you don't have a lawyer.
Lawyers love to intimidate
To win in court he has to prove what he's accusing you of
You need a lawyer
 
Man SeeJay I hate it that you are going through this crap! My best advice is get a lawyer.It may cost you a little now but in the end it will be cheaper!I hope everthing works out for you and your mom.
 
Yup, I'm waiting to actually talk to my mother to see if she already has one. If that's the case I guess we'll be paying them a visit.

Nothing like worrying about lawyers and BS at Christmas time!
