Do you guys use a full 5 gallons for rinseless? Does it depend on your wash media?

I use 3 gallons with a grit guard

I use one gallon or two and then dilute to my needs, warm water, with two grit guards

Following the directions with most rinseless washes is 1 oz, 2 gallons for wash solution, but I usually go about 1.5 ozs and 2.5 gallons as use the wash solution as pre-wash when my spray bottle gets low. I then fill up the other bucket to atleast half for rinse, 1 grit guard for each bucket, ofcoarse.

Rinseless wash 101.

2 gallons, no grit guard. I get a new MF towel each time so no need for the grit guard. It normally take about 2-4 towels to wash my car depending on how dirty it is.

3 gallons. One bucket. No grit guard. I fold a 600 g/m2 MF into quarters and do one swipe with a quarter and move on to the next quarter. Never reuse a towel.

1/5 gallon (1oz ONR) in a pump sprayer, 1 bucket, no grit guard, 2 gallons (1oz ONR), 6-7 (800+ gsm) plush MF towels, 1 WW drying towel, I glass towel, 1 soft towel for final wipe, 1 black towel for drying wheels.

The gsm of the towels are going up. Anyone use a 1200?

Confused... You rinse your rinseless washed panels with
plain water? Feed back please. :buffing:

1 gallon of distilled water, 1oz of ONR with about 8 530gram DI Superplush MF towels using the Gary Dean method. Use the leftover solution with Costco brand MFs to do the wheels and wheel wells. Presoak with either ONR or UWW solution.

Everything I do anymore is with sprayers. Up until now, I've only used hand sprayers, but I'm working towards putting a long hose on a garden sprayer (more volume) or maybe a pressure pot.
Prespray with what I 'm washing with. Follow with spraying the towel wet (thinking of just having MF towels in a WW solution ready). Next, towel in one hand; sprayer in the other, I run a continuous spray as I wash. It never takes the 3 gallons+ I would use in a bucket and I think if you rotate towels, it's the cleanest/safest way I've ever washed.
If it's car soap, I rinse with a hose or a sprayer w/ WW and a MF as above.
It's a method in progress.

I made up a bucket of Garry Deans rinseless (2 gallons) about 4 washes ago. Still have 2 or 3 more left. I use 3-4 towels on the paint and glass and one for wheels. Hung up my grit guards, this is a little faster, and it's gotta be safer.

I use 3 gallons..I am not stiny so like to use lots of rinseless. The number of mitts or towels used does obviously affect how much water you use but then I use two buckets too with rinseless in second bucket.

4 gallons 20-30 MF Tech Elite Hemmed 360gsm folded with a lid...always ready.

I use two gallons, if I need more than it's time for a full two bucket wash.
Warm water works best IMO, I also add one oz of Lanolin for even more lube, my wife gets it at her salon she uses.
Lanolin is used in hair conditioners.

My MF towel just glides over the paint as though it was a block of ice.
