Full Detail= 97-Olds Aurora

After about 2 weeks, I finally got my car back from the shop. I was hit in the bumper, and broken exhaust pipe, and my front rim was bent badly.

Here's some pictures of the order I reveived yesterday.

And now, after 5.5 hours of compounding on my extremely hard CC, I am finished. I also applied a layer of Klasse HG Sealant today.

Lastly, my new SS custom made exhaust. Since they don't make my car anymore, this sort of part is no longer available. Cost her (lady who hit me) insurance $1180 for it.

I really like the nice rumble and the sound of the exhaust. I have a V8, and it's just so smooth.

A little about the work that was done..

I used Optimum Compound on the PC, with an aggressive pad, on speed 6. I would not recommend this for someone without some PC skills. This isn't easy..

I have no marring, swirls, orange peel etc. The paint is PERFECTLY clear, smoother than melted butter, and the depth/shine are amazing for nothing being on the car. I will follow up with additional pictures after I apply some wax so you can really get a better idea how the car will turn out.

I have used #83, Meg's Fine-Cut Cleaner, local detailers compound, all without any luck on removing these swirls. I have used #83 very successfully on others cars, but I just could not remove these! Finally... they are gone. I will be adding Optimum Polish to my line-up too. I enjoyed working with OC, and for those skillful ones out there with the PC, OC might be the most aggressive you could go on a PC.

I had a blast doing it, as detailing cars is my passion. The interior, glass, and rims will be done tomorrow, meanwhile DP's Premium Paint Shield will be applied first thing tomorrow morning, so I can apply a coat of wax tomorrow night.



On a lighter note, is the nicest "white" car I've seen locally, or ever worked on. After removing the swirls on this car, the paint is really nice underneath. I might make an exception and get some Soveran paste for my WHITE car.. :awesome:

Yeah, I have the time. We are moving very soon, and have nothing else to do. I finished the last of my clients, and have been really busy the last month.

I recently got a sample of the Liquid from kelso, so I'm going to try it out, not sure if I have enough for the whole car though.

#845, SSII will def. be going on. Depending on the look, Zymol might be the last LSP to go on. Of course with proper "curing" or "drying" time..

I love OC, I have the old formula but know the new formula is more agressive, how did you like it (did you have the old formula to compare?)

No old forumula; I'm new to AG and products alike. I am used to using bulk, low-to-average quality products.

Although recently, I've been using Meg's Pro/Detailer line.. but I'm slowly accumulating myself with AG products.



Again, I have the time to apply all the waxes, its my last detail here in FL, so I might as well make it worth while.

Now that I look at the bottles, it probably is. The only drawback with liquid's, you can't really control how much comes out, not that I over-apply, but its much easier to use paste. Thank you Kelso!

I'm going to do one at a time, and see how things come together; when I reach the level of wetness/depth/gloss I will stop. Heck, maybe #845 might give the look I'm looking for.

I also have all these waxes for clients cars, not just mine

I agree with Kelso. I put Souveran Paste on my white Mercedes before and after trying Liquid Souveran on it (per Kelso's recomendation) I think the Liquid Souveran looks better on white.

I am actually going to put some DP PPS (sample via kelso) tonight after the Orlando Magic game, around 1am, since I first put the sealant on around 10:30am.

I'll do a mini-review of all three products kelso sent me; liquid souveran, DP PPS, DP Glass Restorer in another reply sometime tomorrow.

Hehe.. tomorrow morning I'll use some before applying Collinite #845.

I have two 32oz bottles full of QS ready to go. I have yet to use it, so for $20 a gallon, I couldn't resist. Im the MAN
