the wheels were pretty damn dirty and thers so many damn spokes!anyways heres what i did...

washed with:
pressure washer
poorboys SSS
Shmitt
bug squash diluted 3/1

Clayed with pinnacle polyclay and DP universal clay lube

the paint was in decent shape, a bit swirly but overall it wasnt too bad to wash, and the claying went fairly quickly. i washed the whole body, then clayed and rewashed in sections.

after the claying i attacked the wheels.
P21s gel wheel cleaner was sprayed on and let sit for a few minutes on each wheel and tire. i then scrubbed the tires with the OXO tire brush and used my wheel brush(i think its ez reach or something?) to get all the insides of the wheels. this took quite a while because of the wheel design but they came out looking fantastic! i love p21s gel but the price makes me reserve it for only the deserving wheels, like this car.

so next i pulled in to the garage and busted out the PC. i tried a few different combos but overall was using the orange wolfgang pad with xmt3 and following with poorboys PWS on a white polishing pad. on some areas i used a yellow pad first for a little more cut
all of it was done at speeds 5 or 6.
i even used some PWS on the orange pad on all the windows, it cleaned up all the water marks and made the windows super slick!

all the wheels were polished with Nevr Dull because i clayed the lips and marred them a little( i used a more agressive bar on the wheels)and coated in DP wheel glaze and the tires were dressed with surfcity's tire pro. i really like this stuff...i still havent been able to try out all the samples meghan so graciously sent me( i swear i will soon!) but this tire dressing is a real winner. i already bought another big bottle of it.

this picture shows the wheel completed and the fender was polished up but not quite done yet.

the outside was finished off with a coat of souveran paste:awesome:
we all know how good that stuff looks so you can use your imagination, when i was odne it was dark so i didnt get any good pictures...i took a couple but you cant see anything really.

the interior was also done. i cleaned it with DP total interior cleaner, shampooed the carpets and gave it some 303 protectant. i treated the leather seats and door cards with poorboys leather stuff and actually waxed the wood and aluminum trim inside the car with maxwax, it looked great i promise but like i said it was dark when i finihsed so i dont have any pics to show for it

all in all it went pretty smoothly. i showed up around 10 AM and left around 8 PM. just took my time and tried to make sure it was perfect, like a detail should be done:D... so all that work will go towards paying for the ink im getting on my back this weekend:righton:

Nice work! Those wheels were filthy. Wow! What a change in the AFTER. Those wheels are gleaming, and I thought you were done with polishing etc in this pic. But then you said, you pulled the car into the garage and brought out the PC and XMT. LOL

Great workmanship Kelso! The BMW looks awesome, so how did you like the SC tire Dressing? Seems i'm not the only one who like to take my time and not rush the job!

Well that looks pretty d... good..

And those wheels, lots of spokes, lots of work.. What kind of brush is it u used on them? they came out great

Looks very good! :D I can imagine they got pleased with the work!

Kelso..very nice job! It's the greatest compliment to get referrals! The first thing i thought looking at those wheels is good God, what terrible shape. As you may know if you've ever read one of my S & S's is that I am a real stickler for wheels..especially on a nice car. You did a great job on those. You may wish to try ARO too as an alternative..but for tough wheels I think it needs to be full strength. I did not like the job it did on my last detail, but the wheels were tough and it was diluted. This shot really shows the wheels, which I think makes this car rock...again..nice job.

the brush i use on wheels is the EZ detail wheel brush...its on AG's site, i highly recommend that brush for people who wish to get behind the spokes of wheels

richy whats the ARO you speak of?
and yes im glad my cameras working too.... i figured out the problem with it. my rechargable batteries, charger, and camera all had corrosion on the terminals that i just didnt see before for some reason

thanks for all the compliments:D

Nice job Kelso! The EZ Detail brush does a very nice job on rims like those.
What are you getting inked on your back? Got a pic of the
design?

ARO is Amazing Roll Off:
Amazing Roll-Off Spray it on and watch the dirt roll off!

Nice job you did. As someone who makes his living detailing, i'm always wondering and hoping that you guys charge enough for doing such a good job. 10 am till 8pm is a long time, that should be a $500 job easily. Again, very nice job.

i know im undercharging if you look at it by the hour but im polishing with a PC and not a rotary so its my own fault that i take so long. i am just not comfortable with a rotary yet, but i do have one. so with that in mind ill just say i charged about half of what you just quoted. but ill be going back in 2 weeks to detail his E55 AMG mercedes!!! im so excited for that

ive been waiting a long time for the perfect design and never saw anything good enough so i designed this and had my brother draw it because he's good at art... sunday afternoon i will be getting it done at a very reputable local shop. im an avid musician and i love surfing and water sports so thats the explanation of why im getting this

you have defenetely done a great job...especially when I look at those wheels...so many spokes...and you have to clean them individually...then dry them...that's a lot of hard work...great job...:applause:

Very nice work. Man, those wheels are a nightmare to do, huh? You did a fantastic job overall! :)

Man you sure did a great job on that vehicle, I agree the rims look great. What a turn around

Great job, thank you for sharing.

That is some excellent work, a very classy BMW that deserved some TLC. Great work, not usually a big fan of green but I like this one!

Great wheels too, nice work of cleaning them!

What a super job you did! Those wheels came out great. I bet that took a long time to clean them up so nicely. Good review on your products too. Nice touch using Max Wax on the wood bits inside. That is one of those details that are often over looked and under appreciated.
