I got my goodies in from last weeks sale. My plans are to start a full detail on my Jeep after work tonight. Below is my planned process. What do you think?

Interior:

  • Vacuum and blow out interior
  • It was recently shampooed
  • Wipe down all surfaces to remove megs ult protectant
  • Apply CarPro PERL to entire interior
  • Windows

Exterior:

  • Purple Power Wash to remove any remaining sealant
  • Scrub wheels
  • Clay paint if needed (this was already done about 4 to 6 weeks ago)
  • Clay rims
  • megs 105 on areas that previous correction (using meg ult compound) didn't get good enough
  • megs 205 on all paint
  • Purple Power Wash and check correction in full sun
  • BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection
  • wait 8-12 hours
  • Collinite #845 on all paint, door jams, and rims
  • Apply PERL to all external trim, tires, engine compartment
  • Windows

I think you pretty much nailed it now all you need is about 8 full hours and you'll have it finished!

Be careful with Purple Power on the paint. It's a pretty strong cleaner and can damage the finish if used undiluted and allowed to sit.

Sounds good, the only thing I would add is what Bobby mentioned.

Dilute the Purple Power if you plan on spraying it on any painted surfaces.

I was going to do a 10:1 solution on paint and 5:1 on wheels.

I'm hoping to get the interior done today. Maybe even the engine compartment. This way I can focus on the exterior tomorrow.

Make sure you take PICS!!!

I will. It's already in good condition now as I did a correction with megs ult compound, colorx, and ult wax a few weeks ago. I want to take it to the next level. Over the last few weeks, I've been slowly getting the engine compartment clean. Now it's about ready for PERL.

Thanks, everyone!
