Funky Smell???!!!!

I can't remember the product but home depot sales it. It's a dry chemical that extracts moisture out of the air. Normally you can put these in closets. It's works wonders overnight.

Also sold at Dollar General Stores, its called Damp Rid

I picked up used car. I used a bissel pro heat carpet cleaner to shampoo the seats and carpet. I know thats not the best cleaner but I did pull alot of dirty water out of

it. Went over it twice and let it air dry for 2 days (open windows and doors ). I used pet odor and stain eliminator shampoo. Then I let a Dakota new car scent bomb

off in it over night. It smells ok but still some funk. It's like a sour smell. Spoiled milk??HELP. Thanks

Ozone generator - turn car on, turn air on high (important), let sit for 30 minutes give or take 5 minutes, open doors and let air out for 2 hours...... we do this about 5 times a week.

:props: Very classy...and awesome business philosophy!

I agree. Anthony, I haven't run into too many people who would make this sort of gesture, but for me you get a pass my friend. I'd do the same thing...if I had an ozone machine.

Helping people out, helping people learn, helping people be successful is what it's all about.

As Mike Phillips says often, "Each one, teach one." Your offer is setting and example and setting the bar of professionalism high. :dblthumb2:

If there's excess moisture in a room, car, or boat, Damp Rid is an excellent product. Wally World carries it, and big 10 lb. pails are available and recommended.

That said, if I felt I needed to, I certainly wouldn't be afraid of getting close to the root of an odor by pulling the carpets. Especially, if the moisture is still present in large quantity. If it's minimal, Damp Rid fits the bill and use the ozone machine as well.

I came across that experience with a family member.

Pulled out the car mats and wash the heck out of em and put them in the sun til they were dry. It was a kid spilling milk on the floor that rotted out. Stunk to high heaven.

It solved our car smell issue.
