I just had the TSX to the Acura dealership for it's 30,000 mile service. When we picked up the car the service technican said in a real serious voice, "I have to say one thing, that is the cleanest 30,000 mile car I have ever seen." Im the MAN

I laughed....

Then on the way home I was looking at my copy of the service paper and it had the following typed on it: Leave no marks inside this vehicle it is immaculate inside make sure it leaves here the same way!!

Nice I hope they didnt wash the outside

Nope, I requested that they didn't wash her.

Nice. I've had similar comments but more like "hey, looks like you take care of her". And IMO, they'll take better of your car each time you visit if it looks that clean.

Nice.

I wish every dealer could treat a customer's car as well .......

i wish all auto places would do this. i once watched in horror as the guy who just changed my oil, shut the hood, then wiped it off with the oily , greasy red towel!

Nice Pitch Black, that always feels great!

I picked up my Sky to find a oil smear on my pristine driver side door, scratches on the lug nuts, and like a bow on a present their was a bird turd on the rear lid! (I guess I can't blame them for the turd though)

? Is it normal for them to scratch the lug nuts? WTF Anybody see this before? Should I demand new nuts?

Lug nuts receive the normal wear & tear due to maintenance ......... unless you buy them I doubt you'll get replacements.

I understand and expect "some" wear but it looked like they played golf with those puppies! Thanks-guess I'm just being OCD with my Skybaby!

BMW dealership in Nashville uses these cones with numbers attached rather than the number tag for the rearview mirrors ........... you know what's coming ........... so they put the cone on the hood of the car (last thing anyone said to me before I walked inside was that my car was in very capable hands) ....... a few minutes later the SA informs me that the tech opened the hood without removing the cone thus causing three long scratches down the length of the hood.

I think they were afraid I was going to go postal on them before it was all taken care of.

Now dealing with THAT would have taken some serious restraint!

I am OCD all the way!!

If you think I'm bad about the Acura I won't even take the Vette to a dealership to be worked on. I have even been known to turn around in the middle of a road when driving the Vette because there is water in the road ahead or mud.

So far I have been fairly pleased with how this dealership treats my car but I still worry. It felt wonderful that they noticed the cleanliness. Now....I need to clean her because she was just at the shop. lol.....

OP gave me goosebumps, It's gotta feel good to see that comment written by a stranger. If only dealerships would train the employee's to notice a persons level of care for their vehicle. I wouldn't give much credit to the dealer as a whole though, it's the individual person who should be praised.

It's almost impossible to remove a wheel without scratching or marking lug nuts. Most, if not all, use air wrenches to remove tires when rotating or inspecting brakes.

Your right in one comment that they use air gun to remove lug nuts. But in my shop we use special sockets that are lined and the outside isn't your normal metal socket.Very rarely we do
any damage to lug nuts. Also all our service advisor's are required to do a walk around with the customer and has a sheet they fill out with any i mean any damage to the car even if the car is trashed as in dirty or the inside is also trashed. We take a lot of pride in how we work on and return a car to a customer. If any of my techs do damage to a car we don't try to hide it from a customer .It's all about gaining a customer's confidence. Once you have that you have them for life or at least till they need a new car LOL

I wish I would have had this level of service with the Vette. One time I took her in for service and when I got her back she was covered in grease. Once I got the grease off I discovered that there were scratches in the clear coat ever place the finish had grease on it. oh....i was mad. :bat:  She hasn't been to a shop for service since then. My hubby does all the work now.
