Hey guys,

If there is a previous post regarding the comparison of Fuzion/BlackIce, I apologize for the redundancy. I have used the WG Fuzion for a couple of years and truly love it; especially on black cars. I am contemplating purchasing BlackIce, but I would like to know if anyone has done a comparison of the two products. Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated!

it seems as if black ice may have longer protection from the things ive heard. as far as looks go i have no idea

Don't know that if there are side by side comparisons, but if you have a black car, get the BlackICE. Members have used it an raved, Dhaval, a very trusted and awesome fellow wrote a great review too.

Personalyl haven't treid BlackICE, I have a sample on the way to explore with, but can't go wrong with Fuzion!

I have both and here are my impressions:

I use Fusion on my Silverstone Nissan 350z - beautiful shine but the car is garage kept so not sure of durability. However, from a shine perspective its awesome.

I use Blackfire Blackice on my White Honda Oddysey - amazing but protection does not seem to last long. It could be because of the polen outbreak we had.

I also use Blackfire Blackice on my Grigio Acura MDX Advance, dark grey - very nice but again, for me protection does not seem to last long. I'll chalk it up to the polen again. I would compare my paint similar to a black because its a dark color.

I have since moved on with my Acura MDX and applied GTechniq Exo and it shines just as good as the Blackice but with way better water repellency.

Now, Blackfire Blackice Montan wax I have not tried so I cannot comment.

I haven't done side by side tests per say, but I do have a comparison.

BlackICE hands down!! Totally dominates the performance of Fuzion!!!

I believe you are confusing two Blackfire products. There is only one BlackIce product and it is the one with Montan wax and it certainly has zero durability issues!

Perhaps what you meant to reference is the Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection sealant?

Mike,

I have used both on my black vehicle and hands down without any doubt the Blackfire BlackIce is the superior product of the two. I have used Fuzion on the same vehicle and the BlackIce looks better, lasts longer, attracts less dust, prevents bonded contaminants from forming longer and sheets water better.

The only area where Fuzion is superior is smell and ease of use.

BlackIce seems to be getting some love here, WOW!

I have Fuzion and loved how easy it was to work with. I don't have a good test for durability, since my car is in the garage most of the time. This thread is going to hurt my pocket book.:)

From what I hear, blackICE.

Personally, despite the fact that I bought the full 8oz jars (with a refill since I'm from Canada), I somewhat regret my purchase, simply because I have a white car, so I'm not able to see the kind of results that others claim.

From what I've noticed on my car personally, the looks are... a very, somewhat plastic gloss that kind of sits on the car... It doesn't make it look candy coated, like a sealant, it doesn't give much depth either, and for me it's definitely not worth the $100 per jar price (since it comes with a refill)...
Others claim to have much better results so as always with every LSP, YMMV.

Audix2 - you are correct. I was thinking of the backfire wet ice over fire kit that I use. I apologize op for the misinfo.

BI comes with a refill?

Since the Black Ice contains montan wax I wonder if anyone has compared it to Dodo Juice Purple Haze or Blue Velvet, as they also contain this wax in their formula.

Ken,

That would be a great idea. Maybe one of the forum's excellent reviewers will accept the challenge!

I have BlackIce, so I'd be happy to do a comparison if someone wants to send me a sample of one of the others...
