I would like to put a top coat of carnuba over my WG DGPS finish. I've been told that Pinnacle Sig Series II is the way to go because I have a light pewter metallic paint finish. However, I've been reading up on Fuzion and that seems very appealing as well. Is Fuzion like Souveran.... best used on black and other dark colors? Thanks for the input!

I think Fuzion is "better" than Souvern, but I use P21s 100% Carnauba. I think that looks very nice on my metallic warm silver.

DP Max Wax also looks awesome on Silver Metallic. But, it's only 29.99.:D

Both are winners on my white Passat, and just the WGPS, is also nice too...

At the risk of sounding like a talk show guest, I will say that Fuzion has changed my life :righton:

Souveran is still the best looking on blacks, reds, and yellows. Fuzion is great on everything. SSII in nice on metallics and a serious buy at its price point.

I still have some SS1. Is it still good to use? What is the main difference between SS1 and SS2?

?? SS1 and SS2 are poorboy polishes. THe OP is talking about SSII, whic is pinnacle signature series II wax.

Sorry for the confusion, I was talking about Pinnicle Sig. waxes.

Like Killr said in the post above your first. Souveran is great on black, red and yellow. Outstanding actually. Sig series II is great for metallics. It makes the paint and flakes pop.

I believe the difference between Sig Series and Sig Series II was a slight ingredient change due to enhanced VOC laws. More than fine to use, lots of waxes like Paste Glaz, Megs 16 and more were not VOC complaint either.

Thanks all for the great input!! Is it necessary when layering carnauba over sealant to stay with the same product manufacturer ie: Fuzion over DGPS? Is there any negative product reactions mixing differnet manufacturers? Thanks!

Here's a pic of Signiture Series over Wolfgang DGPS on my grey metallic 85 vette. I think it looks very good on that color.

Gary, the way you prep your cars, Turtle Wax would look good.

You're Welcome! It's a nice combo. Here's a few more pics from the same detail. The paint's almost 25 years old now and still looks like new.

Fuzion, IMO, is the way to go. I've used it in the middle of a hot, summer Florida day on black vehicles and worked great.

:whs:I have both Fuzion and Sig II Both are great and look fantastic on my Cool Vanilla BUT I get a wetter look with Fusion and it lasts and lasts. I use the Sig II for everything under the hood. I am so happy I found Autogeek.
