I do not use it. I would say no more then 2 coats of wax. The second is to just make sure you waxed all the paint and did not miss any spots. Anything after that is just wasting product IMO. Your not increasing durability or shine. The wax can only do what it can do. It's not going to change what it can do from one coat to the next. Your not gaining anything by using more product or more coats. If anything is "gained" you will barely notice a difference. Do a test. wax the whole car twice then put an extra coat on one half of a panel and see if you notice the difference.

The below statements are not from the "manufacturer" of: Wolfgang Füzion
But they are, IMO, apropos to your inquiry.
(W/My: highlighting/bolding)
____________________________________________________________________________________________________

"A properly applied coat of wax is a very thinly applied coat of wax. Because we want you to apply wax very thin,
it can be easy to miss a spot, especially on light colored vehicles. So, two thin coats are recommended
just to ensure uniform coverage and appearance.
Beyond that you won't gain anything".
~ Michael Stoops

"If your looking for the maximum protection possible, then one or two thin coats of wax, maybe even up to
three thin coats of wax, has the potential to create the most surface protection depending on the wax,
the surface itself, and whether or not sufficient time has passed in-between each application.

Of course the law of diminishing returns states that you will not create exponentially greater layers of protection
with each application, but Meguiar's knows that a second, and sometimes third application will insure uniform,
thorough coverage over the majority of the surface, thus maximizing the protection".

Mr. Phillips also has comments regarding: "The Law of Diminishing Returns".

Just something to ponder...

The number of coats of wax for me is determined by how much garage therapy I need. Can you put on to many? Absolutely not! Are you wasting product? Yup!

That's why in a previous thread: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/65732-2014-mustang-gt-track-pack-10-coats-wax.html...I posted:
But if you think it is worth doing, then keep on doing it...
no matter what anybody else says.

Are you wasting product? Yup!

^^^:iagree:^^^

And that's why I also posted the following in the same http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/65732-2014-mustang-gt-track-pack-10-coats-wax.html thread:
I've heard that those folks that sell car-care products
enjoy "listening-in" to this type of car-care discussion.

FUNX75,

Ur correct about People who sell car care products. Thats why all these waxes, polishes, detailers make my head spin and wallet empty.

You wonder if all these items do what they say or we have been brain washed :)

I wish we could see aline of cars and try and tell the difference between brands. I know the prep work has alot to do with the shine .
